Roadmap for the Prosperity of the Parts Manufacturing Industry in Iran

Abstract

The aim of this research was to develop a roadmap for the prosperity of the parts manufacturing industry in Iran. The present research is qualitative in terms of approach and developmental in terms of objective. The statistical population was in the form of an expert group, including officials and senior managers and experts familiar with the research topic, in the research area. In-depth interviews and group analysis were used to collect research data. The validity and reliability of the findings were examined and confirmed by external reviewers and triangulation. Reliability was also confirmed based on Cohen's Kappa index, with a numerical value of 0.726. In order to analyze the qualitative data, content analysis based on the data obtained from the interviews was used.The conceptual model consisted of 12 main aspects, including 146 indicators or concepts of the evaluator, which were obtained through the integration and classification of the tips or guide codes. The main dimensions in the model include: factors of production boom from the perspective of resources and infrastructure in the parts manufacturing industry within the model including 16 structures and 35 evaluators, factors of production boom from the perspective of technology in the parts manufacturing industry within the model including 8 structures (2 main and 6 secondary) and 19 evaluators, and factors of production boom from the perspective of trends and directions in product development in the parts manufacturing industry within the model including 12 structures and 34 evaluators. The final findings led to the creation of a strategic model in the form of a roadmap for production boom in longitudinal and functional directions that can be used as a comprehensive guide in line with the strategic direction in the said industry
