Abstract

The present study investigates the effect of artificial intelligence capability on business performance through the mediating role of open innovation and the moderating role of environmental dynamism in the startup ecosystem (case study: Bextudio Startup). This research was conducted using a descriptive-survey methodology. The statistical population consisted of all middle and senior managers of Bextudio Startup in Tehran. The sample size was determined to be 92 individuals using Cochran’s formula. Sampling was conducted through simple random sampling. Data were collected using both library research and field methods, and the main data collection instrument was a questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (0.858), and its validity was confirmed through content validity assessment. The collected data were analyzed using SMARTPLS software and descriptive and inferential statistical tests. The findings indicated that artificial intelligence capability has a significant effect on business performance. Furthermore, the results demonstrated that the effect of artificial intelligence capability on business performance is significantly mediated through open innovation.
